Tips for coping with wisdom teeth extraction
This is a little different from what I normally blog about but I think this will be very helpful for anyone that is expecting going through something similar especially busy lady's like myself.
Shop ahead of time for products that you don't have to chew like smoothie mix, milkshake ingredients, soup, apple sauce ect...
Put away some money, just incase you don't feel like making something ie I got my boyfriend to get me mashed potatoes from KFC.
Be prepared to bleed for awhile after the surgery. I recommended booger wipes because they will gently wipe away blood and keep a little pack of tissues with you because you will probably have bloody drool for awhile, hours at least.
Bring lip balm, my lips were soooo chapped after the surgery.
Listen to your dentist and take pain medication as required. I'm to take Advil for a week straight, 4 times a day to prevent infection.
If your like me and the corner/s of your mouth get injured and scab up just put some Argan oil on them. This will soothe the area and by the 2nd or 3rd day it should be returning back to normal.
Take some time off of work to recover. If your a stay at home mom like myself and you have a significant other get then to help out more.
When you wash your face be extra gentle the same goes for when you brush your teeth. I recommend using a extra strength cleanser and less toothpaste.
Try to sleep good, a good sleep well help you heal faster.
Last but not least just remember it won't last long and in no time you will be back to normal! I will update when I start feeling no pain and can eat normal again. So far it has been 3 days and I have been talking pretty good, and eating soft moods. Keep in mind so far I have only has my bottom left wisdom tooth removed.
