Julianna's 10 month update

Weight/Sizes- Julianna is about 22-23lbs. She wears different sizes as not everything is made the same. I find at the moment most 12-18 month clothes fit her the best. She is tall & chunky!

Routine-We don't do the same thing everyday but on the days we stay home this is what her day is like. Once up Julianna eats something like a yogurt & a banana. She tends to cling to me most of the day but she tends to play with her brother a lot in the morning. After a couple of hours I'll feed her something like cheese & a banana. Once she's been up for 3 and a half hours/4 hours I put her to bed. She sleeps for around 45mins to an hour. When she gets up she's pretty hungry so I feed her something like Raisin bread and a hour or so later she tends to have some of what I had for dinner. She once again goes for her nap after the same time period. After that nap she tends to be very clingy so I find she spends more time wanting to be with me rather then her brother or daddy. Sometimes she's hungry as soon as she gets up sometimes she's not. I usually give her one messy snack like blackberries then a bath. Then after a bit I give her another snack like fig bars. 30mins before bed I give her homeopathic medicine to help her sleep and then it's bedtime!

Sleep- Julianna can be difficult to get to sleep other times she goes to bed fine. She still gets up at night at least a few times.

Eating- Julianna eats fantastic however she's always hungry. I find she eats the best when I give her small portions throughout the day rather then 3 big meals. Her favourite foods as of lately have been bananas, cheese, raisin bread & fig bars. She does sometimes steal her brothers big boy treats and she really enjoyed those ie a small donut & cheesies.

Milestones- Little miss got her first two teeth!
-She learned how to crawl a few weeks ago.
-Learned how to pull herself into a standing position using an item.
-She's become very verbal she says a & dada a lot and she's been liking making a yelling noise.

I <3 Spring Tag

It's full blown winter in Ontario Canada & I've been lusting over Spring. So I decided to do a Spring tag. Ill be talking about products I liked last spring & know I'm going to love using this spring.

1. Favorite spring nail polish? I tend to go for creamy pastels during spring. I can see myself wearing some creamy mints and pinks.

2. What is your must-have lip colour this spring? Deep or bright pinks. They look so great on just before you get a summers tan. I really loved Revlon's lip butters last spring. This year I'm excited to wear my YSL VOLUPTE SHINE.

3. Show us your favourite spring dress!
To be honest I don't have one! I haven't found a dress that is super cute, comfy & is versatile.

4. What's your favorite flower?
I actually do not like flowers. I think they smell horrible!

5. Favorite spring scarf/accessory?
Last year it was my multicoloured white leopard scarf. I featured it on my YouTube channel :)

6. What spring trend(s) are you most excited about this year? (Makeup, fashion or both!) Makeup wise I'm excited about the bright bold makeup! My favourite fashion trend last spring was the pop of colour trend.

7. Favourite spring candle? Watermelon lemonade by bath and body works :)

8. Favorite body spray/perfume for spring? Prada candy. I've been really liking a sample I got.

9. What is spring like where you live? It starts off cool but it gets warm and rainy and it ends up getting very hot.

10. What's your favorite thing about spring? Getting outside more often. I love going for walks. It's going to be so much fun with Devon, our son & daughter. She should start walking this spring!

11. Are you a spring cleaner? I'm a mom so I'm always cleaning! Lol but yes I do love a good spring cleaning session.

12. Any plans for spring break or an upcoming vacation?
In April it's my sons 3rd birthday so we will be going to a big new Aquarium. In May we'll probably go to the zoo and early June I'll like to plan a nice picnic or take them to the beach :)

Well I hope you enjoyed this tag. I will have up some reviews soon. I hurt my back so I have not been going out and testing out my new purchases but I will have up a couple in the next 5 days :D

BTW one of those reviews will be on the KISS DRESS GEL STRIPS. Fingers crossed for positive results...

I decide to attach a picture of the munchkin. Ill be writing an update on her soon.

Urban Decay ELECTRIC PALETTE!

I recently saw some photos of urban decays spring line up and the products look amazing what really caught my eye was the electric palette. It appears to feature all bright colours. I'm excited to see the finishes of the shadow and swatches! When it's released I will probably pick it up and show swatches :)

YSL GLOSSY STAIN IN 19 BEIGE AQUARELLE

A couple months ago I ordered some things from Sephora and I received a trio sample of glossy stains.

I don't remember which one I tried but it was a vibrant red and I adored how it looked and that it left a beautiful red stain. The consistency is a little heavy but very creamy.

This month I decided to splurge on one however I went with a nude colour because I don't wear red very often however I was very disappointed in the sheer uneven colour. When swatched on my hand it looks lovely but on my lips it's a hot mess.

Overall I like the concept of these and the fruity smell however they can be drying after a bit and some work lovely and others don't. I will be returning the one I bought and I don't know if I will repurchase another. I love how they stain and apply however my lips have been so dry and I just don't think these will work well for me at the moment. I find they can get a tad bit drying as the colour fades.

I'm rating the glossy stains 6.5 out of 10. With such a high price tag of $36CAN. I expect more out of these. I prefer the Maybelline Elixers which are about 8CAN. They have a nicer more creamy moisturizing texture, richer pigmentation and they have a nice shade collection. I know l'oreal has released something similar to the two however I have yet to try those.

I hope you found this review helpful. I want to review the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine next so that may be my next post I'm not sure. I also want to post my January favourites so we'll see :)

BTW I UPDATED MY SEPHORA OILS REVIEW SO GO BACK AND CHECK IT OUT :)

YSL REVIEW PART ONE

I picked up a couple of other products so there will be a second part to this review.

I will be reviewing The shimmering gloss in Golden Peony & the Sheer candy glossy balm in Lush coconut.

The shimmering gloss in golden peony I have yet to wear out to test how it wears however it has a creamy thick consistency with a beautiful shimmering effect. I have high expectations for it and I have a feeling it will rise to it. I think it's pretty neat that it has 24k gold in it :)

Today I wore out the sheer candy glossy balm in Lush coconut and it looked great. It lightened my lips just a tad and added a light brown tone to my natural dark rose pink lips. It has the lovely fruity smell and it lasted a couple of hours. Overall I really liked it. I think it's the perfect lip balm for days you want to have natural looking lips that aren't so pink.

I will up my review on my two other YSL products this weekend.

YSL splurge and mother & son talk!

I will have up a review on my new YSL products, I've been blog slacking due to the flu and I'll have up a review on a nail polish also. I have not had time to test out the Kiss gel strips but I should have up a review on that in a couple weeks.

The YSL products I purchased are....

The shimmering gloss in Golden Peony (it has real gold in it!)

Sheer candy glossy balm in Lush coconut

I will have up pics and a review sometime this week :)

Now off topic but my son is going to be 3 in just a few months and its crazy because I feel like hes still my little baby boy however it's got me thinking about homeschooling and activities he can get into so he can be a boy. He loves his daddy but he defiantly is stuck around all of his mama's girlyness especially now that hes had his baby sister around the past 10 months. Anyways I thought I would just talk about him a little. I really need to do an update on my baby girl but I'm sure most of my readers are enjoying more beauty related posts.

My daughter & I, isn't she so big now?

Kiss Gel Nail dress

Is it just me or are you a sucker for pretty nail art that you don't have to create yourself?

Kiss has launched new nail strips that are the definition of gorgeous. I picked out my favourite 5. There was a great variety of designs so I really had to be strict with myself and not buy the whole lot.

Kiss's new nail strips sell for $6.97 CAN
Honestly that's a steal if these babies work well because you get 40 strips! Keep in mind not all of them are full and some are decals.

I have yet to test them out because I already have been wearing a new nail polish. I will be testing the nail strips out probably next week and I will post a full review so you can decide if you want to check them out. The last kiss nail stickers I used were terrible so I'm nervous but I'm very hopeful because these are just so fun and pretty if they work out well I'll probably hunt down more.

I am not sure if these strips are like stickers or dried nail polish. I have had better luck with dried nail polish strips however they are a one time use because they dry out so I'm hoping these nail strips are a new type of sticker that will stay put and look great for at least 3 days. After all I am a mom so I'm pretty tough on my nails.

Stila Magnificent Metal Liner

Stila's new liners are creamy and loaded with fine glitter. They pack strong pigmentation and remind me of MAC's black based mineral shadows, I own 4 of those, 3 of which resemble Stila's liners thus why I did not purchase any of them.

I would recommend the sparkly liners to anyone that wants a safe option compared to the metal shadows. The liners are easy to work with and if you use them as a liner then they are much more subtle. Keep in mind you can use the liners as a shadow and they are the same size as the Stila metal shadows. The consistency of the liners is more like a creamy liner making them easy to work with.

Sephora Favorites Beauty Oil Essentials UPDATED

This month is going to be a pretty big beauty/skincare month for me because I want to invest in some products I've had my eyes on, one of which is the Sephora beauty oils set. I purchased the set yesterday and I was hesitant because it's a lot for a set that I'm probably only going to like 50% of. Oils are very personable however not all of them will work for everyone.

I've provided a list of the oils and what my initials thoughts are/if I already like or dislike them.

 - 1.7 oz Boscia MakeUp-BreakUp Cool Cleansing Oil-     Have not tried.

- 0.5 oz Nude Skincare Perfect Cleansing Oil-        Its light but did not remove all of my makeup, would not purchase. UPDATE- I've grown to really like the almond smell, I use it before my purity cleanser and it feels nice on my skin. It's one of those products that's not a must have but it's nice to have.

- 1 oz Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil-     It smells very herbaly and is ok moisturizing wise, would not purchase.

- 0.5 oz L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil-              Have not tried, it smells ok. Wish I got a bigger sample....UPDATED- It smells lovely. It has a fresh sweet almond scent. It's moisturizing but I find body butters from the body shop do a better job for much less money. I think this is a nice luxury product for those that don't have really dry skin.

- 0.5 oz josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil Light-   Not a fan of the feeling nor that they took out crucial components that gave it the liquid gold look and silky texture, it works ok for my 9 month old to prevent cradle cap however I would only repurchase the original.

- 0.23 oz Tarte Oure Maracuja Oil-           LOVE, currently using my old bottle still.I have a full review up already.

- 0.5 oz Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil-             Have not tried however I heard it smells like fish oil so I'm very hesitant....

- 0.34 oz Nude Skincare ProGenius Treatment Oil-             Tried once last night at 7pm and it is very greasy feeling and you will look oil slicked after until you go to sleep and wake up the next day, my skin does feel VERY soft however I have not made up my mind. (I need to make sure I don't break out). UPDATED- I adore this, it has not broken me out and it does give me a grease face however I wake up with the softest skin. This is a great oil to use when your skin is feeling very dull and dehydrated. This would be lovely after using a mask.

- 0.05 oz Bite Beauty Cinnamon Lip Plumping Oil-           Hate, the plumping components are irritating, it didn't look like anything special on and it didn't smell very nice I doubt I'll ever use it.

- 0.85 oz Bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil-     UPDATED- It works nice however I'm not sure how much I like it yet.

- 0.85 oz Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Dry Oil Mist-    I've tried another spray from this brand and it's ok but just sooooo perfumy and the other one left my hair looking a bit too shiny with a oily feel. I know this one is strongly fragranted so I'm expecting similar results.

- 0.5 oz Josie Maran Argan Oil Hair Serum-                 I really like this hair oil, I probably wouldn't purcahse is because I think its overpriced plus it has a herbaly smell but I like to use it before I straighten my hair.

If I think any products are fantastic I will do a full review however I buy beauty and skincare products every month and I don't always talk about everything but I do try to share my favorites.

I did test out the new Stila liners and I will have up a review on those soon so keep an eye out!
For now I will say they are similar the the Mac black based mineral eyeshadows. Not in feel but appearance wise.
