For new readers I thought I would share a little bit of my history with my weight so you could possibly feel inspired and reach weightloss goals you may be struggling with. For old readers you will learn how I finally lost my pregnancy weight.
Before kids I weighed about 117lbs give or take and I'm 5'6 and a half so I was very slim, I walked 5 days a week for 30-60 minutes per a day, exercised for 45 minutes and ate around 1300 calories due to a very low appetite. I didn't sleep much and felt very tired. I might of looked healthy but I didn't feel like it.
I then had my first child and gained 60lbs. I managed to loose most of it naturally but i had to eat healthy and exercise to loose about 15 pounds; then I got pregnant again after 16 months. In my second pregnancy I gained 40lbs and by the time I had my daughter at 6 months postpartum I weighed 149lbs. I was really struggling with weightloss. I was upset and didn't feel sexy. I blogged for awhile about weightloss but I stopped because I felt discouraged as I was not seeing results.
I now weigh about 120lbs, after a year of struggling I reached my goal several months ago. So how did I do it?
Step 1 I started to eat healthier and stick to a 1400-1500 calorie diet. I drink lots of water too.
Step 2- Exercise to the point where I feel tired, like my body got a really good workout. For me this is around a hour instead of the 35minutes I was spending before. I exercise every single day.
Step 3- My body started feeling off so I took the initiative to see a doctor and after months I found out I had celiacs disease. Once I cut out gluten I lost 6lbs in a week and I have much more energy.
In order to become the best you you need to eat right, exercise and seek professional help if you believe something could be wrong with your body.
It's never too late to make a change and reach your goals. Just remember they won't happen over night but you will see results if you work for it.
The best things in life don't come easy.
