Sephora VIB Buxom HAUTE PINK LIPS

This is not a review but simply a "what I got in a sephora promo" incase you want to pick it up too. I believe the code is buxomrouge or rougebuxom. It was and still should be available online for rouge members. I will just say the formula of all the products is fantastic, 10/10 quality.

June Favourites 2014

First of all I'm going to start off with that I did get 5 Chanel products but they won't be mentioned in this favourites because I haven't had enough time to use them so my top 2 will make it into next months favourites blog.

Now my first favourite is a actually a lip duo. I have been loving MAC's "Pet me, please" lipstick however it is a frost so I like wearing a gloss over it just to tone it down but it also gives my lips more dimension. Lately I have been loving MAC's "On the Scene" over it.

I have another favourite from MAC and this was hands down my favourite shadow last month and it is Soul Serenade. This shadow is a major stand out because it is so unique it has grey, brown and purple qualities to it and its just one of those shadows that is neutral but fun because it has a sparkle metallic effect to it.

The next product I wanted to mention was a sample of Marc Jacobs concealer. Now this isn't any old concealer this is also a brighter. I really like this concealer because it does offer coverage without looking cakey and it makes under my eyes look brighter. It kind of does show off any fine lines you may have so I may or may not purchase it I'm still thinking about it. The colour I have is a bit light so that could be why it was exaggerating my fine lines a bit.

Last product I have to talk about is the Too Faced Chocolate bar palette. I have never been sooooo hesitant over purchasing a palette but I'm glad I finally caved because it has been my go to palette and I get good use out of most of the shadows the only one I'm not fond of is Strawberry Bon Bon. My three most used shadows besides white chocolate are salted caramel, haute chocolate and champagne truffle. Champagne truffle looks horrible in the pan but when it fuses with my skin it becomes a gorgeous pink gold it's stunning.

Well those are my top picks for June. Feel free to leave in the comments yours and ask any questions you may have. Hope you enjoyed this post.

Dior Chimere VS Chanel Emerveille

I decided to do a comparison of Dior Chimere VS Chanel Emerveille. Both shadows are a very light rose gold. The texture of both shadows is very velvety and smooth, they are like hybrid cream shadows. I would say the biggest difference is the appearance. Chimere is more of a fine sparkle that is very buildable and Emerveille is more Metallic with a shimmer it is also very buildable. Overall both shadows are amazing quality. I rate them both a 10/10 however they do look quite different when applied.

Elisabeth & James Nirvana White

Utter bliss. I'm writing this review waaaaay too late because I am in LUST with Nirvana White. I may need to cheat and smell the black one before I decide if its love. However I've head their best as a threesome if you include yourself of course.

Nirvana white smells almost like Prada Candy. If you know what Prada Candy smells like then picture Nirvana white as a scent a bit softer, a little less spicy and a little more subtle as it fades much quicker.

If you don't have Prada Candy as a reference then picture Nirvana white as a sweet, feminine scent. The notes are peony, muguet and tender musk. Overall I think it's a universal scent and ladies its one to check out :)

Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Review and swatches

I decided to finally splurge on not one but two of Chanel Illusion D'Ombre shadows. I decided to go with Fantasme and Emerveille. I initially went for Emerveille, its a beautiful metallic shimmery light rose gold. It's perfect for summer and I decided to also get Fantasme which is basically a white slightly iridescent glitter that stays put. The two shadows beside each other look like completely different products however they are the same and they have the exact same texture!

They are both velvety smooth, they look like mousse but they do not have a wet feeling, the pigmentation is fantastic and they wear really well.

My overall rating is a 10/10! These babies are a splurge at about $40 just for one however they are so stunning, the quality is superb and the packaging is beautiful.

Side note- you do get a applicator but in my opinion its rubbish because its really stiff.

May Favourites 2014

This month I have been using a lot of new products but the ones that really stood out made it into my monthly favourites :)

1st Too faced chocolate bar palette, I put off buying this palette for so long but I'm so happy I finally caved because the majority of the shadows are buttery smooth and they smell good enough to eat! My favourite shadows that I've tried so far are triple fudge, salted caramel, semi-sweet, hazelnut and champagne truffle.

2nd I just seem to keep reaching for this next lip product and it is Revlon's Creme brûlée. This product gives you sexy Pamela Anderson nude brown lips. I just love how it makes my lips look plump and luscious.

3rd I usually hate foundation but when Judy from itstimewithjudy did a review on Cliniques stay-matte foundation I knew I had to try it because her skin looked natural yet flawless. Guess what? This made my skin look the same way! I don't have acne currently but this product helped conceal any redness and covered up my large pores yet my freckles were still visible so I didn't look like a cake face and the best part is I don't feel like I'm wearing makeup. Only down side is my skin still gets oily! I actually think Cliniques foundation for acne helps control oil a lot better however it doesn't blend as nicely, it has more coverage and the shade range can use improvement.

My final favourite is MAC's extra dimension skin finish in superb. This is kind of a dark highlighter in my opinion however it gives you that bam in your face sheen which I've been liking so if your pale like me then apply just a little and blend, blend, blend!

Hope you enjoyed this post I will try and have up a full review on the matte foundation with before and after pictures :)

5 skin care products you need

Everyone wants clear skin that glows but it usually doesn't come naturally. Luckily it really isn't hard to achieve. Bellow I will list types of products you should be using, I can back up what I list because several months ago I had horrible acne that would not go away but my skin has been completely cleared up with my new routine. The past couple of weeks I've had no acne and the past few months I haven't hade much acne and its usually gone in a day or two and barely.

First you need a good cleanser that's gentle but can remove your makeup. Cleansing oils are really nice. It's also a very soothing experience.

Secondly I like using a second cleanser just so no oil residue is left behind and I just feel like by washing your face twice your not only taking off any makeup possibly left behind but your really cleansing your skin.

Third step is to use a nice toner that will hydrate your skin and cleanse it. I like a moisturizing toner because I don't wear moisturizers I find that most of them don't work I rather just use maracuja oil if I really want to hydrate my skin and makeup wears better with just a hydrating toner underneath.

Fourth step as you may of guessed is to use a oil to moisturize your skin. This is great for night time however you can use a oil under makeup just apply a very small amount and allow time for your skin to drink it in. A nice oil will give you glowy skin and make your skin so soft.

Fifth step is one that you should do once a week and its to use a exfoliate, it can be natural, chemical and/or with a clairisonic but its a crucial step because you really need to get rid of the build up of dead skin and bacteria.

Hope you found those steps helpful. I really believe they are the key steps in my routine that keep my skin clear and glowing.

I've attached a photo with me just wearing a yellow translucent powder to take away shine and a bronzer to contour.

Neon nails for Summer

This summer I am really feeling bold colours on my toes. I like simple shoes so a bold nail polish really adds some fun to my feet. I am not a fan of my feet however painted toes make me not hate them as much lol

The polishes I'm wearing are China Glaze "Flip flop fantasy" and to add a little accent I used Formula X "Ornament" polish.

Kat Von D Monarch Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

I have another quick review of a gorgeous new palette. I'm talking about the Kat Vod D Monarch Eyeshadow Palette. This palette is full of gorgeous neutrals. The pigmentation is excellent. The shadows are very buttery so you'll have to tap off your brush to prevent fallout because these shadows are just so smooth and easy to pick up.

My overall rating is a 10/10. This palette is excellent I really can't say anything bad about it. The quality is superb and the shadows are gorgeous and blend so beautifully. I highly suggest checking out this palette.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette review and swatches

I'm keeping this review very brief. Overall the shadows are velvety smooth. About 3 colours were a bit meh and didn't have mic pigmentation and/or apply nicely. The palette smells sweet and lovely. There is a nice array of colours and textures.

My overall rating is a 8.5/10

This is a beautiful palette and I highly recommend you pick it up :)
