Sick!

So if I go MIA for a few days its because I'm sick and a tad bit busy. However I will do an update on things.

My daughter is still drinking 120ml. Half breastmilk and half formula never mixed. We give her enfamil A+. She has stopped projectile vomiting. I think what was causing it was comfort feeding after the first night of her shots causing her to over eat. To prevent this we offer her the pacifier frequently. 0-3 month clothes are now fitting her nicely of course there still is some stuff that's too big. I'm proud to say that she is starting to hold up head a lot more and efficiently and she's starting not to mind baths.

As for me I've recently put up a haul on my YouTube channel (morganandjessbeautychannel) and I have more videos scheduled. Right now I am obsessed with Sonia Kashuks bed of roses quad. I love the urban decay moondust shadows too. I've been loving my Mac creamsheens they're just moisturizing and light and I adore the vanilla scent. My acne had gotten bad and I'm starting the mini pill so I'm hoping it will help. Anyways I'm hot and sick so I'm going to try to get my daughter back to sleep so I can sleep too!

Baby girl update

In four-5 days she gained a pound and a half. Last Tuesday she went up to 10lbs 12oz so my guess is she's hitting 11lbs now. She has gotten so chunky! She fits well into 0-3 month clothes there not tight however they don't wear on her like a potato sack lol. She tends to coo when she wants attention and that's been the only time she will smile. It doesn't happen often but when it does its nice. She loves to stare down everyone and observe them it's quite cute. She hasn't been a fan of the swing but she adores the warm weather we've been getting.

One of my favourite things about her is her will. She's always trying to sit up on her own. She really doesn't mind tummy time, her brother use to hate it! She is a total mamas girl and I just eat it up aha.

I love being Julianna's mom, she is such a blessing I couldn't picture my life without her. My kids just make my day. My son is just so hyper and silly. He is always making us laugh and loves to cuddle and blow kisses. He's 25 months only to be precise. He's now starting to mock us which us great for his speech development. Recently he has said zoo, aww, shoe, baby (said it clear before he wasn't).

I have an addiction

To Urban decay moondust shadows.

I am now a owner of the entire collection and I will buy more as soon as they release more colours (fingers crossed they do!).

The last 2 I purchased were moonspoon and intergalactic. How did I justify 2 more?!?!? Well I figured moonspoon would be perfect for smokey eyes and intergalactic was really pretty when I searched it in store last month. Yes it looks like the purple sparkly Sonia Kashuk shadow but still I bought it because I'm obsessed with urban decay and all things sparkly.

I'm the type of girl that doesn't need to go to a party to justify wearing gorgeous makeup and cute stuff. I love beauty's and fashion and hell ya I want to look my best. These shadows may not be super practical but I highly recommended picking up at least one if you think they're pretty. Keep in mind you can always use them as eyeliner to be less bold. If you're a neutrals girl then I recommend diamond dog it's brown with silver sparkles. If you like colour then I say go with which ever one you can get the most wear of.

Nursery!

I'm on a blogging binge.

So my baby girl shares a room with her brother. Her side is owl themed his is a work in progress that will be nautical themed.

I decided to decorate her side pink with owls because I love pink and her big eyes remind me of owls and they're so cute just like her. Keep in mind her bassinet/playard is in my room and she shares a closet with her brother. It's a work in progress however I will say I use the closet to store memorabilia, baby clothes, diapers, wipes, toys, jackets and her brother and her each have a closet multi droor hanger. And she has a small storage that hangs as well that hold items like socks, thermometer, bibs. Her big one holds receiving blankets, onesies and other items. Anyways here is her nursery.

Baby Clothes!

    Now I did a lot of shopping recently so these are just some clothes I got for my babies, they are from joe fresh which makes my favorite baby/toddler clothes. They're affordable & comfy so I highly recommend checking  this brand out.

Slacking not slacking?

  I've been horrible with posts because quite frankly I've been super busy (Doctor apts, Shopping, Decorating Nursery, Visiting family, grocery shopping, going to the water park and of course lots and lots of cleaning, breasting and spending time with my loves.

 Now first I have an update on my little cupcake. She now weighs 9lbs 6oz as of Friday May 17th 2013. On Sunday she started smiling (May 19th 2013 9 weeks old). The past few days shes started to coo a lot more especially when she wants to be held. At her apt she got her vaccines and the past few days shes had the runs and thrown up everyday since. It's had me and Devon worried however its suppose to be normal however not that common. If she is nauseous today or tomorrow I will contact my doctor tomorrow when her office is open.

 I really have bonded so much with my daughter, I really understand her and its made being her mother such a easy task I feel really fortunate. She is finally starting to like baths and shes breastfeeding better and I'm pretty sure she prefers it too.

 Anyways thats her update I will now post my baby clothes haul and her nursery picture in a separate post.

Baby clothes haul

At superstore they seriously have the cutest clothes with fantastic prices! I bought by little ones some adorable outfits, they are growing so fast.

I will be adding pictures later of what I got and I will be doing a 2 month update on my princess :). And I will be showing what some of her room looks like.

Almost 8 week update

So I'm doing good, getting motivated to exercise and eat better (that part isn't going well lol). My nails are very brittle so that sucks.

Julianna is doing great she drinks 120mls and about 8-10 times a day. She is such a great baby. Next Friday she has her 2 month apt and I'll be doing some baby shopping so I'll do a couple blog posts on that. :)

More makeup!

Now I'm not reviewing this product because I will have a Sonia Kashuk review on my YouTube channel next week however I have some swatches from the shimmering sands quad.

Beauty ft. Sonia Kashuk UPDATE

Target recently came to Canada and SK products sold out fast and I wasn't able to get my hands on any until today and let me say I now know why they sold so fast! I only picked up a palette and a quad but I will be getting more products in a couple weeks unless the shelves are cleared again.

1st review is for the eye on glamour eye couture palette. I adore this palette most of the shades are matte with very very very fine glitter, two shades are completely matte and 4 shades are glittery. They remind me of the urban decay moondust shadows minus the lack of pigmentation. I would say only 2 of the shadows are lacking a bit of pigmentation and feel a tad bit chalky but a great base can fix that. Overall without yet testing wear time and fallout I would give this palette a A- for a first impression.

UPDATE  In column one the first to shadows (mint & blue) look stunning but they have a chalky texture and they apply horribly, close to no pigment! The rest of the shadows have a more buttery texture but I would say they were a tad bit powdery so I used a base and I found they didn't apply as nice and I had to blend lightly prevent the color from majorly fading so my FINAL grade is a B+. Its definitely drugstore quality but the colours lean on the high end scheme. For $20 the 2 misses should of been better quality there's no excuses.  What would make this palette A+ quality? SK knows how to make gorgeous looking shadows know they need to work on the texture. A better version of them is LORAC, for exampke the LORAC PRO palette was very buttery, highly pigmented and they blended beautifully with no loss of pigmentation and when I use them I do not need a base. I've heard that inglot makes exactly that for the same price as SK so I believe that's her competitor and if she improved the formula she could be even more successful because her eye shadows aren't far from being great quality they just need some tweaking.


Now the next product I'm reviewing is the purple haze eye quad. These glitter shadows feel creamy and once again they seem like a more pigmented version of the urban decay moondust. So for my first impression I will give this quad a A and not a A+ because the white shadow could of been more pigmented. If you can't afford the ud moonshadows I would highly recommend this quad.

Quick update

I'm working on uploading a youtube video, keeping Juli asleep then I gota exercise, clean and make dinner.... the life of a stay at home mama! Always busy as a bee...

My 6 week pp apt was yesterday and I weigh 146lbs boo! I have 11lbs to loose to get to my pre pregnancy weight and then I would like to loose 7lbs more.

 How will I manage that with 2 kids?

 Buy mostly healthy foods so when I'm busy (which is always) I can't grab something fatty and I'm going to start exercising 10 minutes each day.
